Discovery’s new R3 billion 112,000m2 global head office in Sandton is described as the largest single-phase commercial office development in Africa and the largest single-tenant building in the southern hemisphere. It is furthermore the largest new-built project to receive a 5-star Green Star rating by the Green Building Council South Africa. The building comprises three linked office towers which consist of a ground floor, 8 office floors, a roof level (which holds Discovery’s sports facilities) and 9 basements with over 5,000 parking bays. The precinct also includes a Tier III + data centre.

MWKE was appointed as the client consultant and representative responsible for overseeing the entire electrical and electronic services designs and installations, which included medium voltage, generators, UPS systems, electrical, lighting, electronic services, voice/data services and BMS.
